The Tankless Water Heater – Not a Choice Any Longer

Americans represent 5% of the world’s population, yet we generate 30% of the world’s waste.  We throw away 1 million pounds of waste per year, and if we add in the waste water to the landfilled material, the CO2 gas emitted, and the billions of pounds of polystyrene peanuts, we’d come up with a grand total of 250 trilliion pounds of waste, of which, only 2% of this total waste is ever recycled.

This is a horrible fact, so don’t you think it’s time to start doing something about your environment. It’s going to take the effort of every American and every household to turn around the greenhouse effect… and the best place to start is at home.

How Can You Help?

Every time you buy an appliance or fixture for your home make sure it is an energy efficient one.  We need products that save water, energy, electricity and cost less to make. We need to recycle whenever possible, so one of the best ways to do your part is by installing an on demand water heater.

How does it work? Tankless water heaters deliver hot water as it is needed, eliminating the need for storage tanks.

The instant hot water heater is not a new idea. It  is the chosel water heating method in much of Europe and Japan. But these systems are only recently gaining popularity in the U.S. The only reason it hasn’t been widely used as yet, is because of the initial higher cost.

The Tankless Water Heater Guide has information about Tankless Water Heateroperation, selection, requirements, installation, maintenance and manufacturers.

Why Should I Make The Switch?

Primarily you should make the choice because it offers a fabulous way of supplying hot water to your home, but in a very ecofriendly way. It prevents water and energy loss. But there is also an added benefit to a  tankless water heater installation.  It costs less to maintain. Tankless water heaters last about 10 years longer than a more conventional heater. They take up less space and offer an unlimited amount of hot water. The only down side to tankless water heaters, is that they have a higher out of pocket expense and installation charge.
